Selwyn Snowfields

OUR SNOW REPORT

WINTER 2008
This year's Snow Season is one of the best for years. Selwyn Snowfields and the higher parts of the Kosciousko National Park have really good falls. The snow is still going strong and people are having wonderful times on the cross country trails.

Whatever you want, you'll find it close to the Alpine Tourist Park. If you want an organised environment with ski runs and lifts, toboggan runs and all the fun things then Selwyn Snowfields is the place for you.
People who want informal family 'snow play' find this in the Kosciusko National Park near Kiandra.

In Winter the northern part of the Kosciusko National Park offers ideal conditions for everyone from the really experienced, to those interested in snow play with the family, to those just starting out.

SCENES FROM PAST YEARS IN THE ALPINE TOURIST PARK

What did bright young people do when the snow bucketed down in the Park?
They created wonderful snow sculptures.
Four amazing young people worked very hard to make this 'Snow Angel'.
She looked after the Park as the snow settled.

Here's a very creative Snowman
Snowmen appeared all over the place. Our Angel had tortured willow branches for wings and others had carrots for noses! There was even an Australian Snowroo.

Some Dads had fun too!!!

These photos show you just how beautiful the trip is from the Alpine Tourist Park to Selwyn Snowfields.
